How to Get a Country
Familiarising yourself with the game
If you want a country, the first thing you should really do is read all the rules and important information around the forum, and perhaps even familiarise yourself with some of the topics in The Throne Room and some of the wars that have happened so you get a feel for the game and understand what it's all about.
Checking the availability
You must make sure that the country you want is available. To do this check the profiles of countries in the Country Profile board (the Country Index may be useful to you in finding countries).
Submitting a character profile
Once you have picked an available country, please go to the Character Profile board, and submit a character profile for the character you wish to play using the Character Profile Template - the profile contains information on your chosen character, as well as the country which you have applied for.
We recommend that you pick a character that is historically accurate, and not a fictional one. However, if you do not know the historical character you may invent a fictional one, but please make it realistic.
If you are applying to be a general, vassal, etc. underneath a leader of another country, please get the leader of that country to verify that you are indeed allowed to play a role in the country - you must have permission from the country's player.
Acceptance
Once you have done all that, as long as your profile is correct, has had all its fields filled in, and is realistic, an admin (Scott or Mith) will accept the profile and then you're ready to start playing Apoca!
