Welcome to the Trade Embassy. In this thread you will find everything you need to know about 'Trading' in Apoca v.3

Explanation

If you can remember back to the old system of Apoca Trading whereby you make HeadQuarters for your Trade Companies at Ports in your Provinces/Dominions/Colonies etc... and make deals with these respective Companies. Apoca v.3 contains the exact same system which will be outlined later on in this post.

Setting up your Company

To set up your Trade Company then you must use this form: (any incomplete or incorrect forms will be removed and ignored). Please Fill in all the "...". The form is to be PM'd to me

Subject: Name of Company


[b]Name of Company:[/b] ...
[b]Faction Name:[/b] ...
[b]Province*:[/b] ..., ....
[b]Name of Port:[/b] ...
[b]Head of Company:[/b] ...

NB. Province * means either Province Name, Dominion Name, Colony Name or Protectorate Name. And the ... after the comma needs the Continent in which said Province is in (ie. Europe/Middle East, etc..)
Head of Company can be a fictional name, but it must be believable to a certain degree.

Cost to set up a Trading Company

• Trade Company One: Cost of 100,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Two: Cost of 150,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Three: Cost of 200,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Four: Cost of 250,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Five: Cost of 500,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Six: Cost of 1,000,000 Livre

Any inactive companies will shut down, ie. those which are not used for Trade Deals.
You can also utilise other Factions' Ports as the HeadQuarters of your Trade Company (see below for full details)
It is recommended that you do not place all your Companies in one Province/Dominion/Colony/Protectorate otherwise if said area is taken by a Rival Faction, those companies will become theirs.

Selling your Trade Companies

Another new feature in Apoca is the ability to sell a Trade Company.. There are two options with this:

[/b] Sell to Trade Embassy
2. Sell to another Faction
[/ul]Selling to a Trade Embassy is simple. You PM me, as before, with your intention to sell and I will add the sum of 150,000 Livre to your Extra Wealth.
Selling to another Faction is slightly harder but still not too difficult. You PM me with your intention to sell to a rival Faction and I will make up a thread in this board where you can both agree on a price. If you do wish to carry on.. Point me in the direction of the thread and I will add the amount specified.

Please remember that you may only have a maximum of 6 Trade Companies at a time. Holding 7 or more Companies will incur charges, at the discretion of the Trade Manager, until one or more has been sold.

Another note. Companies must be active for at least one week before being sold.

Moving Trade Companies

As in the amendment below, you may now move your HQ of the Trade Company to an entirely different location to the one it is currently situated, for a nominal fee of 25,000 Livre.

Using Other Faction Ports for HeadQuarters

You may set up Trade Companies at other Factions' Ports. However, this means that the Faction is well within their rights to takeover the Company forcefully etc.. So choose a friendly faction!

Amendment One: Minor Powers

[/u][/b]
The Trade Commission have deemed it necessary that Minor Powers have good access to Trade Companies. As such, they may now purchase a Trade Company for a fraction of the price that a Land or Colonial Power.

• Trade Company One: Cost of 25,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Two: Cost of 50,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Three: Cost of 100,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Four: Cost of 150,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Five: Cost of 250,000 Livre
  
• Trade Company Six: Cost of 500,000 Livre

It is thus hoped that Minor Powers will indulge in buying and trading with their Companies

Amendment Two: Selling Companies

With this amendment, sees the end of the one week rule for selling your Companies. In its place comes a new rule. You can sell your Companies for 75% of the price you paid for them

As such, all prices will now be noted in the Company thread.

Amendment Three: Number of Companies

[/u][/center]
With this amendment, sees the creation of a new rule regarding Numbers of Companies. You may now only ever build 10 Companies. However, to offset this, any country that has already built five countries. I believe these to be Austria and Morocco, can have an extra one company on top of this.
