An initial vanguard of 20,000 Light Infantry, supported by 800 Heavy Infantry, 2,000 Cavalry, and 12 Cannon, is to advance across the border under the cover of the new moon, in total darkness, upon the nearest known moderately-sized Indian camp. The troops are to surround it, taking up advantageous positions in battallions, out of sight of the sentries, but in a tight enough net to ensure our plan works.
The camp shall then be subject to a prolonged ranged bombardment from our Cannon, extra ammunition shall be brought along to ensure this can go on for hours. Unaware of our presence at all, the Indians should bolt for freedom in a panicky mess, running straight into our waiting soldiers. 1,000 Light Infantry, and the entirety of the cavalry are to be kept in reserve should a mass of Indians flee in one direction, to ensure that our men are not overwhelmed by the desperate foe.
Our main force is to follow a day's march behind, building small palisade fortresses on the way, to ensure our supply trains can make it through virtually unmolested. These outposts shall each be staffed by 100 light infantry, to keep the stations protected and able to relay messages.

One of the Tribes gets to know about your movements, and due to the tribes being Migratory the settlement in question doesn't exist by the time you get there. However, your troops are rather glad not to have faced losses, yet you still need to bring the tribes to battle.
However, good news (if you choose to see it that way) is that in payment for the percieved insult of your invasion, certain tribes of the area have banded together an army of unknown size.
Objective: Defeat this new army that has decided to challange you in strength.

We shall build a large palisade fort, manned by our vanguard, while our main force shall stay within marching range, but out of Indian detection. We shall wait in the fort for this Indian tribe; being 'insulted', they should be eager to launch an attack on the visible symbol of the United States' invasion.
This attack shall be repelled with heavy cannon and musket fire. If the Indian's fall back, then we shall advance our heavy infantry - in conjunction with a creeping barrage - on their position, aiming to break their morale through heavy losses.

Objective Two Results: Weak U.S Victory (May I just ask how you plan to accomidate your entire vanguard in a fort that you cant spend ages building.) The Indians are not as foolish as some of your arrogant officers thought, as the position of your main force was given away by some of your officers who openly lit fires and gave away the position of your main army. The Indians sense a trap but do however attack your fort but at the dead of night and do so by throwing flaming bales into your fortress and as such setting the exposed fort on fire. The indians however send very few forces to burn down the fort and so most of your vanguard escape alive. However as your main army quickly sets up to investigate what is going on at the fort (they did not expect a night attack. They are ambushed by the main group of indian forces who were waiting for them. After a long while of hand to hand fighting, your forces eventually kill most of the Indian army, but at a large cost. Total Losses: 25,000 Light Infantry; 2,000 Heavy Infantry; 5,000 Cavalry; 30 CannonUS TroopsLight Infantry:95,000 Heavy Infantry:8,000 Cavalry:7,000 Cannon:60 Native American TroopsLight Infantry: ? Heavy Infantry: ? Cavalry: ? Cannon: ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Objective ThreeDespite your heavy losses you did kill most of the Indian tribesmen in the area, however you have heard of one last tribe far to the south. Your objective are as follows: a.) Punish your officers who underestimated the indians as you see fit b.) Find out where this tribe is located and see if they would be willing to leave peacefully.

(It wouldn't be much bigger than a football stadium in terms of length and breadth to be honest, and with 21,000 men working on it, it would have been done in very little time.....)
OBJECTIVE TO FOLLOW...

OBJECTIVE TO FOLLOW... You clearly have very little understanding of the American Plains, however rather than spending time explaining why this isn't true I will instead wait for your next objective. Also may I add I feel your tactics were not of the best quality and you did act like the Native Americans were dumber than they are, ake that into account for your next mission objective.

Also may I add I feel your tactics were not of the best quality and you did act like the Native Americans were dumber than they are, ake that into account for your next mission objective. I have a perfect understanding. It works like this. Men+logs+ground=fort. If logs are not available, then men+supply train=logs, leading to fort. ANYWAYS... ObjectiveFirst of all, our officers are to receive a stern debriefing on their failure to carry out their orders, however all men make mistakes, and so no further action shall be taken, unless they make further misjudgements. Our army is to regroup, and await further orders while we send out scouts to the surrounding areas. When we locate this Indian tribe, we shall send a few sacrificable men to them, to talk with their chiefs. Meanwhile, as these men are being escorted inside, our main army will have drawn up a few miles away. They shall then wait the agreed time for the 'negotiators' to get inside. They shall then advance on the Indian settlement, under the cover, again, of a creeping barrage from our Cannon. Advancing shall be done with the main thrust from our heavy infantry, supported by flexible lines of light infantry. Our cavalry is to provide mobility to aid any areas of our advance which look like faltering. The creeping barrage should ensure that we face minimal melee resistance, and allow us to bring to bear our full force of arms against the Indian forces. We shall also use flaming rounds to ensure maximum devastation to any standing structures. Meanwhile, our force who crossed the British border in the north, consisting of: Light Infantry: 300 000 Heavy Infantry: 150 000 Cavalry: 9 970 Cannon: 300 Are to cross back into Indian-held Nebraska and send out scouts to search for nearby Indian tribes.

Objective Two Results:Objective Failure The Indians are Nomads and so always on the move and when you finally find there camp, they are not foolish enough to stay put and instead they move the camp and send men to negotiate with you in your camp. So the negotiate objective stands. Total Losses: 0 Light Infantry; 0 Heavy Infantry; 0 Cavalry; 0 CannonUS TroopsLight Infantry:95,000 Heavy Infantry:8,000 Cavalry:7,000 Cannon:60 Native American TroopsLight Infantry: ? Heavy Infantry: ? Cavalry: ? Cannon: ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Objective ThreeYour objective are as follows: a.)Negotiate with the tribe Of Indians.
