Objective One:
Setting sail from Basra, two units of your navy have setup a blockade around Kuwait. Unopposed, due to the lack of a Kuwaiti navy, they have an effective stranglehold over the city-states' trade.

Your Cavalry have amassed on the northern border, and your Infantry (along with your Cannon) are ammassing on the western border.

You have issued a call to surrender to the Kuwaiti Prince, offering that they become an autonomous state under you as to avoid bloodshed. The Prince's resposne was that he was interested in a deal, but perhaps something could be done to sweeten the deal? Also, he states that technicalities would have to be worked out.

The Ottoman Sultan now wishes to peacefully send a messenger into Kuwait City bearing the following message:

My dearest Prince, I would like to offer you the chance to place your great nation under the Ottoman banner. You will be granted many freedoms, including semi-autonomy and the placement of our next Trade Company in your port. I would also wish to turn Kuwait into a so called "Tax Haven" whereby there would be 0 Tax to pay to the Ottoman Empire. In exchange for this, I shall demand total control of your income and your military. As this message is being sent, my cavalry will have moved in from the North and be riding through the desert distributing messages of goodwill from the Ottoman Empire. Any resistance would have been met with the swift and sharp points of their swords. Further to this, my Light Infantry, I'm told, are making steady gains in from the West. I do not know the truth of this, but I hope that no blood has been spilt on their travels.

Again, a peaceful solution would be most amicable to both parties here,

• You may control Kuwait's military, however it shall remain separately regimented from the Ottoman one.
  
• Kuwait shall attain dominion status, with myself as its semi-autonomous ruler, and my lineage in rule.
  
• Your points on tax-free status and the trade company shall be implemented.
  
• You shall have full access to Kuwait's coffers.
  
• You shall give the royal Kuwaiti household a "subsidiary amount" of 5,000 Livre.
