Our Troops shall enter across the border to the Multan Region. This area is heavily populated by Muslim who have only recently been defeated by the Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh. We hope this will cause there to be little resistance at first , as we hope for support from Muslims, in particular the Pashtun Militias who are eager to put the land back in Muslim friendly rule. We shall move through the region taking control of the small outlying towns on the border. We shall also be sending a messenger to Maharaja Ranjit Singh asking them to peacefully join the Persian Empire where they will be free from the threats of the Afghan raiders and British rule.

The rest of the Multan region shall be secured. Multan Fort is still under Muslim control despite Sikh attacks, we shall send messengers to the ruler, Muzaffar Khan Saddozai, calling for him to join the Persian Empire and retain his seat in Multan. We will offer protection from Sikh attacks that he has had to defend against and pay off. Our forces once the outlying regions of Multan have been secured, using the previous tactic of raising support from the large Muslim population and reminding them of the protection they will receive from Persia, we will move our force towards Multan Fort to meet with Muzaffar Khan Saddozai. We hope we are granted access to the fort, where we shall place a small garrison to reinforce the current one, and shall be our initial base in the Punjab. If access is not given to the fort it shall be surrounded and Persian troops are to await orders to attack. Scouts from our cavalry will be sent out the monitor the Indian forces and if needs be they will make contact, and talk to their commanders about standing their forces temporarily down, until diplomatic channels have taken place. Our forces shall not attack the Indian forces as a sign of goodwill, but if we are provoked. We hope the vastness of our force, that is likely to be ten times the size of any army they field. The Message to the Maharaja Ranjit Singh shall be, "We would like to their to be little bloodshed in our expansion especially towards your Sikh rulers, who have just ended a bitter war to gain power over the regions. I wish to offer than the Punjab falls under the Persian Empire peacefully. You and your fellow Sikh rulers shall retain your seats and shall live in the same luxuries you are used to as well as many more than the our Empire shall bring. You will be allowed to lead your armies in battle as you have done in the past, but the Persian Empire will have control over your forces and treasury. In exchange the people of the Punjab will benefit from new trade that will be brought through the area, and freedom of worship will be given for all. We will assist you in protection from Afghan raiders who have plagued your land for centuries and will assist you in putting down their armies. You will also gain protection from British Expansions into Indian Lands and other Colonial Powers with much more foreign cultures. We hope to hear of Maharaja Ranjit Singh reply soon, and if he has any comments on these propositions." A Map of the Multan region of which we hope to secure in this objective.

OOC: Not sure if our tactics to get control of the Multan region have been acknowledge, and the lack of mention in the report was a sign that it was successful. If they haven't been taken into consideration the tactics in my previous post will be used.
IC: Once the Multan region is secured and under friendly control out army shall move North to take on the threat of the Indian armies assembling near the Northern cities. Scouts shall ride ahead to keep track of the forces and when our armies near each other to communicate and ask for a surrender. We shall appeal to the Muslims and Hindus in these armies who have likely been abused by the new Sikh rule. We shall promise them freedom and peace from Sikh control and Afghan raiders and shall allow them to serve in Persian armies if they wish. We hope the way the Sikhs seized power will sway them to our Empire. We shall appeal to the army commanders of each section in turn. If this offer is turned down we shall attempt to persuade them to step aside and retreat back to their homes, once they see that the Persian armies vastly outnumbers their armies, and the Maharajah see there lives as expendable resources to protect his rule. We shall also offer the commanders 5,000 livres to tempt them to join our forces.
For the Indian soldiers that refuse both of these offers our forces will engage them by firing volleys of cannon fire into their lines in a hope to rout them. Followed by what lighter artillery our infantry has, we hope they choose to advance. If they do we shall keep them under fire until they are in range of a cavalry charge. A proportion of our cavalry will charge their weakest position to hopefully rout the enemy through their numbers and skill. All troops will be captured if possible and treated fairly but not to the expense of our army.
If they choose to keep their position we shall keep them under continuous bombardment from our artillery, and send forth the occasional diplomat calling for a surrender when their numbers thin. Meanwhile we shall outflank them with our infantry and cavalry using our numbers to surround the enemy easily. Any counter attacks shall be dealt with and our commanders are to be aware of all situations from constant relays from our scouts.
Once/If the Indian army is neutralized by whatever means, hopefully by words but by force if necessary we shall move our forces towards the cities of Islamabad and Lahore, where we shall gather Muslim support from the heavily population Muslim regions.

Our forces once they near Islamabad shall begin gathering support for Persia. We hope that there will be more support now the occupying Sikh army has been defeated. A messenger shall also be sent to Islamabad and Lahore calling for them to join with Persian and keep their wealth. We shall tell them that the army has been defeated and they need no longer fear the Maharajah's now defeated armies. If the cities join peacefully the governors shall keep their control and shall be treated the Persian luxuries. If they refuse to support Persia they shall be surrounded and discontent started in the cities from the high Muslim population. A surrender will then be offered to the city. If it is refused our forces shall open fire upon whatever sized garrisons they have and shall occupy the city, attempting to spare life wherever possible. We hope for a quick strike against he garrisons and their defenses using our numbers the overpower the small defenses then offer he chance to surrender to all as we advance through the cities. These tactics will only be used if there is no diplomatic approach possible and the cities shall be taken by the full Persian force in sequence. First Islamabad and then Lahore. We shall also send a messenger to the Maharajah calling for him to surrender to Persia under the same terms as before, now his army has been defeated.

Your forces assault Islamabad. By this point your intelligence has finally given a number for the Indian armies. Both sides have managed to raise support from locals since the last battle, and both are roughly equal in size. You seem to have under-estimated the defenders of Islamabad, and the attack is much more bloody than you would have estimated. However, it is a successful attack and leaves you in control of the city. Persian Forces:
Light Infantry: 161,500 Heavy Infantry: 89,000 Cavalry: 31,000 Cannon: 170
Quality: Out-Dated
Indian Forces:
Light Infantry: 150,500 Heavy Infantry: 86,000 Cavalry: 29,000 Cannon: 180
Quality: Out-Dated Objective Five:Negotiate with or attack other Indian cities in the area.

A small garrison shall remain in Islamabad and shall continue to raise support for Persia and shall establish our control over the surrounding area through their presence.
10 000 Light Infantry 2 000 Heavy Infantry 10 Cannon
An additional force shall be brought in from Persia to the Punjab to reinforce our troops
Light Infantry: 150,000 Heavy Infantry: 40,000 Cavalry: 25,000 Cannon: 150
A proportion of this force shall march to Islamabad to reinforce the garrison and await orders on their next steps in the War.
This proportion is:
Light Infantry: 50,000 Heavy Infantry: 10,000 Cavalry: 5,000 Cannon: 50
The remainder of the troops shall march towards Delhi. We hope this puts pressure on the Maharajah to surrender with forces marching towards his seat of power. We also hope to split the Indian forces further and overstretch them, and be forced to retreat or surrender. This force shall march towards Delhi, giving any resistance the chance to surrender but if it does not to destroy or break through intimidation of numbers.
The current main army in Islamabad is to move on to Lahore and offer a chance to surrender and let the local leader to continue his life in luxury. If this is refused our artillery will open fire upon what defenses they have before storming the city, taking care to underestimate the size of the garrison. If Lahore is taken through negotiations or military might we shall put the same garrison as is in Islamabad and move towards the remaining cities sending scouts ahead to check for troop positions and also offer a surrender to any Indian resistance and to the cities.

None of the Indian states at this time attempt to try and retake Islamabad and the locals do little to resist your rule. You easily retain control of the city but should beware of keeping the locals contended. Your troops march towards Delhi and encounter little resistance on the way and so are able to put the city under siege with little problems. The Maharaja however seems unimpressed with your forces and instead opts for a tactic used by the Indian lords against Colonial Powers, let you exhaust your troops against his impregnable walls. The Siege begins. In Lahore the city is ruled by an overweight and hedonistic man and is willing to surrender the city. However he wishes to hear your terms and see how much money you are willing to offer him first. Be quick with your negotiations as it is likely an Indian army will come and try and relieve Lahore and maybe convince the city of Lahore not to defect after all. Persian Forces:
Light Infantry: 311,500 Heavy Infantry: 129,000 Cavalry: 56,000 Cannon: 320
Quality: Out-Dated
Indian Forces:
Light Infantry: 150,500 Heavy Infantry: 86,000 Cavalry: 29,000 Cannon: 180
Quality: Out-Dated Objective Six:A.)Conduct the siege of Delhi and take the city, beware the strength of the cities walls. B.)Convince Lahore to defect by offering them acceptable terms.

In the region of Islamabad to make sure continued peace is kept in the area, several steps shall be taken. Firstly a third of the troops stationed in Islamabad that have just arrived from Persia shall be sent out into the surrounding areas to talk with local leaders using translators, or through gifts. The troops will also help with any building work and shall help the locals with their daily life's. We shall also make sure that Freedom of Religion is given to all in the region as promised. Secondly in Islamabad food will be purchased up to the price of 1,000 Livre and given to the people of the city. Finally the locals are to be encouraged to talk with the locals and begin trading Persian goods that they may have if they wish to show the variety of goods the locals shall receive. We do this to show that Persian rule is better than their recent Sikh Lords.
The Maharajah is reminded that he is not an Indian Lord of old who has fought Colonial powers successfully. He captured the city with barely a tenth of the current Persian host and much less fire power, and having not rebuilt the red fort since then. We hope Maharajah will understand that his tactics will fail since walls are only truly impregnable if there are no gaps in the defenses. As we expect this to be turned down immediately we shall only wait a few hours for his response. If he surrenders then the city will be occupied peacefully. Otherwise We shall surround the city and give all civilians in the city a chance to leave a take refuge in the countryside. We shall use spies and scouts if possible to find out approximate troop numbers inside the city. We shall also incite the Muslims in the city to revolt against the Sikh rule and raise arms to recapture the Red Fort which is by right a Islamic Historic Landmark and should be in he hands of Muslims only. While tis is happening our Cannon and any other forms of long range artillery will begin fire upon the walls of the city and it's defense. We shall attempt to make breaches in the wall and to destroy heavily defended positions. We shall allow this to continue with breaks when our cavalry and infantry will form light raids on any breeches and gaps in the Red Fort. We plan on forcing the enemy back into the city away from the walls and threat of cannon fire and raids. We hope the inexperience of some of the recently levied troops of the Indians will cause them to retreat. We shall not over commit to these raids at first but they shall be put on rotation so the city is under constant cannon fire or raids so the defenders tire as the siege goes on, as well as weaken from lack of food and supplies. A surrender will be called to the Maharajah to allow him one last chance to end the war and still keep some of his luxuries, and if he complies successfully some of his powers. If this is refused our Cannon shall focus fire on the largest breach or gap in the wall to expand the gap to an extremely large front for the defenders. Raids shall also be stepped up on all sides of the city while the main force prepares to march through the main breach. We hope to receive some support from Muslims in the city or at the least non aggression. Troops shall push the hopefully overstretched defenders back. We will attempt to isolate pockets of Indian resistance by having our raiding parties that broke an area of the defense or encountered no Resistance to cut of troops to force them to surrender or be killed. Once our forces are well into the city and have the Maharajah surrounded, our troops shall reform and attack from all sides through all streets trying to keep the enemy at range of Artillery and Gun Powder weapons of the light infantry and cavalry. Once there numbers are suitably low our cavalry will make a final charge at the enemy to capture or kill. The Maharajah will then be found and captured if he has chosen not to fight with his men.
Meanwhile in Lahore, the ruler is to offered these terms. He personally shall receive 5,000 Livre should he surrender and another 5,000 Livre if he can convince his troops to join our cause. The life he is accustomed to will be kept and he will be allowed to live as he has done in the past for no charge, but with an extra 10,000 Livre to spend on his hearts desire. He shall not be harmed in anyway and his people and family shall be peacefully brought under Persian rule with his help. He will have a say in the Politics of the Punjab if he so wishes and also a say in Persian Politics which will give him more recognition in the world if he so wishes. A shipment of Persian Luxuries will also be sent to this man to the value of 1,000 Livre. He alternatively to taking part in Politics can retire with his wealth and goods. We hope this satisfies the ruler greatly. This message is to be sent as fast as possible so if an unexpected refusal is given we will have time to counteract the proposal or seize the city. If it is accepted it will be garrisoned with the Rulers help and scouts will be sent our for word on any Indian forces that move to attack Lahore, and to prepare for any attacks.

The residents of Islamabad have no objection to your rule and as such your control of the city goes unhindered. The Siege of Delhi could be considered a success, as your troops take the city without suffering too many casualties, however it could also be considered disastrous. After initially breaching the walls your forces began to enter the city and engage the enemy troops who are of poor quality. However one of your Cannon managed to somehow hit the enemy Arsenal and create an Almighty explosion and set off a chain reaction among numerous stockpiles of ammunition in the city, it is clear the Indians engineers were off poor quality. While this seems to kill of most of the opposition troops it also creates major damage to the city and kills the Maharajah in the process. The City is now yours. The negotiations with Lahore are successful and you manage to take the city without any problems. However the garrison of the city stays under the control of the cities leader rather than joining your forces. The remaining Indian troops are approaching Lahore but appeared to have heard news about what happened in Delhi and so may be willing to surrender. -17,000 Livre Persian Forces:
Light Infantry: 275,500 Heavy Infantry: 119,000 Cavalry: 48,000 Cannon: 320
Quality: Out-Dated
Indian Forces:
Light Infantry: 70,500 Heavy Infantry: 36,000 Cavalry: 19,000 Cannon: 60
Quality: Out-Dated Objective Seven:A.)Convince the remaining IIndian troops to surrender and so give you control of the Punjab.

This message shall be sent to the leaders of the remaining Indian Leaders and Troop commanders of the Indian forces.
"You will most likely have heard of the fall of Delhi and the death of the Maharajah. This is regrettable as he was a brilliant field commander but had little knowledge in the positioning of artillery and this caused his death and the damage to Delhi. We call on the rest of the Punjab to join with the Persian Empire. All soldiers can fight with Persian armies expanding the strength of the Punjab. All troops will keep their jobs and ranks and shall be kept by the Persian treasury.
Delhi has received great damage due to mistakes made by the engineers of the defenders. This is a great shame, as this was a great city, but under Persian rule we shall rebuild this city to it's former glory and shall fully repair the Red Fort that was never repaired by the Maharajah after he damaged it in his capture of Delhi. Delhi will be made more wealthy than it has ever been with all the other cities in the Punjab. We will raise and form other cities to make the Punjab more wealthy.
You will all keep your titles and land but shall now answer to the Persian Empire. You may choose to join Persia and if you wish to later you may be made into Dominion with more power and rights over the land.
We ask you to please stop the fighting and not let there be anymore destruction of cities and deaths of leaders. This will save many Indian and Persian Life's"
We shall await their response.
