The troops manage to take over settlements near the shore without any major mishaps. Unfortunately, though, a few of the Cannon have fallen into disrepair and cannot be used for a while until they have been properly maintenanced.

The regional tribes are very peaceful, and willingly hand over their settlements after seeing the peaceful nature of the British forces. Unluckily, in the night, a fire starts accidentally in one of the occupied settlements, killing many of the tribespeople and most of the troops who had made camp there. The fires escalated into large bushfires, and eventually three of the settlements are lost to the blaze, and many soldiers killed in their sleep. This causes a major blow to the British morale, and will affect the soldiers' skills if something isn't done to help them.

British- Light Infantry- 144,500 Heavy Infantry- 45,450 Cavalry- 45,900 Cannon- 167

Objective three: Head towards a large settlement nearby, and take it using any methods necessary.

We tell the soldiers that this was not an accident, it was done by hostile tribes, who killed both British soldiers and peaceful Aboriginies. These hostile tribes must be hunted down and slaughtered.
The soldiers are told that the next settlement may nto of caused these attacks, and negotiators who speak their language go to negotiate with them. The negotiators will report that these men did not start the fire, and the settlement is to be taken peacefully.

The peaceful negotiations go quite well. A few disgruntled tribespeople attempt to fight British troops, but are driven out of the settlement without any casualties inflicted. Most of the broken Cannon have now been successfully repaired, but a few are beyond salvaging and cannot be used again.

Objective four: Sweep the remaining area of brushland for any remaining tirbal settlements. Take care, as the troop morale is still dangerously low.

The British troops are told to go searching the remaining land for hostile Aboriginies, to raise troop morale. They scout the open land, and kill any who oppose the occupation.

The soldiers' vigilance is again rewarded. Several groups of warriors are found trying to ambush unsuspecting cavalry units, and are dealt with swiftly once discovered. Troop morale is restored when the rest of the settlements are taken without a fight.
